RESEARCH GRANTS AND AWARDS

TSC designs, plans and conducts large scale, multi-center research projects such as HAPPY (Heart FAilure Prevalance and Predictors in TurkeY), TAKTIK (Questionnaire for Diagnosis and Treatment of Heart Failure in Turkey) and β-GenTurk (Beta receptor gene polymorphism in Turkey).

TSC also provides grants and awards for research projects. Among 99 projects submitted, 70 projects have been supported. 38 of them are completed and published in prominent periodicals. 3 of them are under evaluation for support.

TSC has four traditional awards in this field:

• Original Clinical Trial Design Award, delivered since 2003.
• Young Investigator Award, delivered since 1993.
• Best Case Presentation Award in Echocardiography, delivered since 2006.
• Best Case Presentation Award in Interventional Cardiology,
  delivered since 2006.
